Simplicity - Sunday, April 4
is the world view of the child or un-informed adult, fully engaged in their own experience and happily unaware of what lies beneath the surface of immediate reality.
Spring, NOT - Monday, February 22
Well, all these years living in California and finally we get a wet winter/spring. I heard the 'el nino' word going around recently, but whatever the case, I'm seeking sun. Actually, the last time I heard that whole 'el nino' was like 1998 or so, rained like hell. No thank you. I guess it should make me more productive indoors, but no chance, instead just out in this weather doing my thing and sorta hating it. Soccer match yesterday was filled with the wet stuff falling from the clouds of gray. Bleh.

Last week was super nice. Lots of blue sky and sun. All this must have tricked all the local flora into thinking it was spring, because the cherry blossoms started dotting all the neighborhood streets and even our own ancient plum tree is sporting some white pom-poms. Hoping that spring shows up tomorrow and we can get on with some warm temps, until then, send email as I have plenty of time for reading.
Sundance TwentyTEN - Tuesday, January 26
Loving it so far and here for the whole ten days. 'The Imperialists Are Still Alive' took a bit for me to warm up to, but after a bit turned out to be a really good film with beautiful moments and the occasionally hilarious scenes.
'The Violent Kind' was not a let down even after reading some bizarre notes about the plot, slight horror pic with some engaging acting near the middle.
'Life 2.0' was extremely thought provoking and was a very in-depth look into the online user-created world of secondlife. Love it or hate the online worlds, they're becoming pretty popular, and this film wasn't just about the game but more about people and relationships that cross over from real to virtual.
Still many more films to see.
Happy Twenty-TEN - Monday, January 4
Ending oh-nine and beginning this newest annum with a new gig. If you're interested you can always email me about it, otherwise, I should have some new photos from the latest B&E adventures here shortly. Make sure to get the new Google Chrome, so far so awesome.
In Full Effect - Wednesday, September 16
Now that September is for real, I find myself focusing everyday on what is the most important and trying to weed out the rest of the stuff that life presents us with as distractions. Attaining full focus everyday is tough for sure, but setting aside chunks of time that allow for undisturbed creativity seems to be producing some amazing results for me. And it's also pushing me towards wanting and finding more of these creative chunks. Feeling like I'm on a roll lately, working on some Alaskan galleries at the moment and trying to not to forget some more amazing California captures that need to make their way up here soon.

Thanks for all the positive feedback lately. Really appreciate hearing from everyone. I'm never too busy to return an email, so looking forward to seeing more in my inbox. And yea, thinking about bringing interviews back, so if you know some creative-types with talent, let me know.
Motion - Monday, August 31
As the close of August comes within just hours, I'm taking this opportunity to look back over the past few years, look at the important lessons I've learned and set a bunch of new intentions into motion. One of which is committing more of my day to updating my photography archive and continue to publish my wanderings here. Something I heard recently was to forget all the advice you've been given and follow your passion. I believe this has everything to do with greatness, as all things great begin and end with passion.
Planet Earth - Wednesday, April 22
I'm sure almost everyone has heard of the Planet Earth series, but if you haven't yet seen it all in HD yet, I promise you'll enjoy every moment. A great reminder to get out and connect with your local chapter of nature. No, not just your neighborhood park, I'm talking about the places off the city grid and where all you can hear is the crash of waves or the singing of birds.

Brandie and I spent this past weekend in Big Sur with some really great friends and had a chance to soak in hot springs along the immaculate California coast at midnight. This sort of thing takes you back. Reminds us all of the beauty around us and replenishes the soul. Always in need of balance at the same time, I never leave home without my drum n bass.
